written by: amiprada Though a lot of people have made some nasty predictions about “The Walking Dead” coming back for a seventh season, I see a palpable, gut-wrenching, and rather visceral improvement on the show’s core infrastructure. Premiering October 23rd, speculations have been made about the potential of Rick’s group being spread about are abound, quite palpable in the air.But there is a lot more to it than characters of the past episodes. In fact, new characters and new groups are on the rise, meaning we can expect a lot of new trivia questions prospering in the land of The Walking Dead. What appears to be happening here is what many are calling a “power shift” in the group, where a lot of former leadership roles are going to be tossed on their heads to the point of no return. With the new world that Negan has laid out before us, it seems we will be seeing Rick’s struggle with Negan’s presence amidst a chaotic backdrop during Season 7. It was stated by show creator “Ross” that, “Truthfully, Negan has a simple premise that he’s put in front of these people. Give me half of your things or I’ll kill you.” In other words, Rick’s group (specifically Rick’s group, actually) will suffer a choice between life and death. Because it is speculated that the idea of giving up half of your things simply to preserve life – life that has been taken many times – this will cause a clash of power in the game that is The Walking Dead Season 7. In the end, what it comes down to is coping with a new way of life, and a new society that is now rising up, the embers of the old world have vanished, and a new order is on the rise. With so many characters and such tremendous (potential) plot twists, The Walking Dead Season 7 promises some great things, but there is still some speculation if people can recover from Season Six. More so, rumors from fans are coming to light. It is said that Glenn will be the character to meet Lucille in The Walking Dead Season 7, though theories of Abraham being killed off in the episode is a reality we must all face with a grim and glum taste on our tongues. Perhaps fans are about to ready themselves for two favorite characters being killed off before the season has so much as a breath of life, meaning episode one may be proprietary by destroying two “fan favorite characters” the moment the season opens! After recovering from the season premiere, AMC The Walking Dead has come out with a great new episode, The Next World. The opening scene starts off with a picture of Karl holding his Sister while having the bandage around his head. It is set a few weeks or months past the season premiere. Things seem to be back to normal minus a few residents. Here are some of the highlights of the episode I thought might be worth some discussion. Again, this is talking about the show so if you don’t want to know what happens, please stop reading. Darryl and Rick go out and find Jesus Teams are being sent out and Rick and Darryl are teamed up to go out in that fantastic car. They find a load of food and supplies in a Uhaul truck parked in a farm. Along the way they stop by a road side where they run into a shifty stranger named ‘Jesus’. Jesus tricks Darryl and Rick as Jesus takes off with the new found treasure. Running, Daryl and Rick give chase on foot and catch up to him. By this time they are probably very upset, being tricked and having supplies stolen from right under their noses by a person they started to trust. This next encounter they manage to tie up Jesus and start heading back on their route to find goods. Of course three times is a charm and Jesus who happened to get out of his ropes is hitching a ride on the top of the truck. Daryl and Rick thought they tied him up good and left he back a few miles back. This time Daryl gets out and gives chase to him only to stop him and find their truck rolling into the lake. Jesus got knocked out during this exchange but he did manage to save Daryl during their fight by getting Daryl’s gun and shooting the Zombie ready to take a chunk out of Daryl’s ass. Seemed odd but Jesus seemed to be toying with Rick and Daryl. In the end, Rick did say to Daryl, “ He did pull your gun” and silently implied that Jesus shoot the zombie that was coming behind Daryl. Daryl agreed that Jesus wasn’t all bad. That’s when Jesus was taken back to Alexandria. Karl and Enid secret Run In Enid and Karl have been together for awhile more friends than anything. This time though they run into Deanna as a zombie and Karl and Enid don’t quite know what to do. What would you do in this situation where you see a loved one as a Zombie trying to eat you? Enid for a moment said that they should kill it, but Karl resisted and they both backed away. Michonne in the mean time was following Spencer into the woods. They spot Karl and Enid in the woods walking away from a walker. AS Spencer and MIchonne look on they realize that it’s Deanna, Spencer’s Mom. Spencer explained in so many words that this was why he was in the woods with a shouvel. He wanted to find her and bury her. It was a touching scene. Love in the air between Rick and Michonne? And who would have thought, two of the strong characters finally hooking up. Perhaps maybe it was the stress of the day. Maybe it was always there but until that touch of the hands and the kiss that said all they needed to know. For me it was like Superman and Wonder Woman finding each other. Maybe all you need in this zombie world is love. --------------------------------------
